Frase Pricing Overview

If you are wondering how much Frase costs, the short answer is: $39 to $239 per month on annual billing, or $49 to $299 per month if you pay monthly, with a custom Enterprise plan above that. Every plan starts with a free 7-day trial, and no credit card is needed to begin.

The plans differ mainly in how much you can run: articles per month, audit pages, sites, seats, pages watched by Content Guard and how many AI engines Frase tracks for you. The features themselves are largely shared, which makes the choice simpler than it looks.

This guide walks through each Frase plan, explains the limits in plain language, shows what happens when you go over them, and helps you decide which plan fits. If you want a broader look at the product first, read our Frase review.

Professional$129$103In-house teams and growing small businesses
Scale$299$239Agencies and multi-site brands
EnterpriseCustomCustomLarge organizations needing security or white-label

Prices are in US dollars. There is no permanent free plan, but there is a free trial, and a few free extras that we cover below.

Frase Starter Plan

Starter costs $39 per month billed yearly, or $49 per month billed monthly. It runs the core Frase workflow for one site.

What you get:

  • 1 seat and 1 site
  • 10 articles and 50 audit pages each month
  • Publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity or Wix, or hosting on FraseCMS
  • SEO and GEO scores
  • AI Visibility tracking on ChatGPT and Google AI
  • Content Guard watching 10 pages for Google ranking decay
  • The AI agent, which can publish on its own if you switch that on
  • Frase Answers, a free widget that captures what your visitors ask

The catch: Starter simply stops at its monthly limits. That means no surprise bills, but it also means that if you publish more than 10 articles in a month, you have to wait for the reset or upgrade.

Who it suits: Solo bloggers, freelancers and anyone running one site who publishes a few pieces a month.

Frase Professional Plan

Professional is marked as Frase’s most popular plan. It costs $103 per month billed yearly, or $129 per month billed monthly.

Everything in Starter, plus:

  • 3 seats and 5 sites (extra seats are $29 per month each)
  • 40 articles and 250 audit pages each month
  • A content calendar, internal linking suggestions, and the ability to turn one piece of content into posts for every channel
  • AI crawler monitoring, plus Perplexity added to AI Visibility
  • Content Guard watching 75 pages
  • Optional pay-as-you-go for months that run long (off by default)

Who it suits: Active bloggers with several sites, affiliate marketers building a content library, and small in-house teams. If you publish weekly or more, this is usually where the numbers start to make sense.

Frase Scale Plan

Scale costs $239 per month billed yearly, or $299 per month billed monthly. It is built to run the Frase workflow across many sites.

Everything in Professional, plus:

  • 5 seats and up to 10 domains (extra seats are $29 per month each)
  • 100 articles and 1,000 audit pages each month
  • Content Guard watching 300 pages, plus Claude and Gemini added to AI Visibility
  • Client-ready reports you can export for each client
  • The ability to let the agent work across every site you run, not just one

Who it suits: Agencies, multi-site publishers and brands managing several domains. Frase notes that Scale is fully self-serve, so you can start without talking to sales.

Frase Enterprise Plan

Enterprise has custom pricing scoped to your organization. It is meant for large teams and agencies that need extra security or white-label options.

What it adds:

  • Custom seats and domains
  • White-label reports and a branded client portal
  • SSO and SAML, a dedicated account manager and an SLA
  • Custom limits, custom API access and two years of history

The dividing line is clear: if you need white-label reports or a branded client portal, that is Enterprise only. For most agencies, Scale already covers the rest. You will need to talk to Frase’s sales team for a quote.

Monthly vs Annual Billing

Paying yearly takes 20% off the monthly rate. Frase bills the full year once, and says you can switch back to monthly whenever you want.

Here is what that saves you over twelve months:

Plan12 months monthly12 months yearlyYou save
Starter$588$468$120
Professional$1,548$1,236$312
Scale$3,588$2,868$720

Our advice: Use the free trial first, then start on monthly billing for a month or two if you are still unsure. Once you know Frase fits your workflow, switch to yearly to lock in the discount.

On plan changes, upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated, while downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle.

Frase Article Limits

The article limit is the one that matters most, because it is how Frase meters your usage:

  • Starter: 10 articles per month
  • Professional: 40 articles per month
  • Scale: 100 articles per month

To compare plans fairly, divide the price by the included articles. On yearly billing that works out to roughly $3.90 per article on Starter, $2.58 on Professional and $2.39 on Scale. On monthly billing it is about $4.90, $3.23 and $2.99. Keep in mind that your plan also includes audits, monitoring and AI tracking, so this is just a rough yardstick, not the whole value.

What happens when you hit the limit?

  • Starter holds at its limit until your billing cycle resets or you upgrade. You can never be surprised by an extra charge.
  • Professional and Scale let you switch on pay-as-you-go. It is off by default and only bills at the end of your cycle if you turn it on.
Overage rateProfessionalScale
Extra article$5$4
Extra audit page$0.50$0.40
Extra AI prompt$0.25$0.20

On article cost alone, Scale starts to beat Professional with overages somewhere around 65 to 75 articles a month. Your site and seat needs might push you there sooner.

Frase AI Visibility Limits

AI Visibility is the feature that tracks whether AI engines mention your brand and pages. The number of engines depends on your plan:

  • Starter: ChatGPT and Google AI
  • Professional: adds Perplexity, plus AI crawler monitoring
  • Scale: adds Claude and Gemini

If you only care about the two biggest engines, Starter is enough. If you want a full cross-engine view, you need Scale. Extra AI prompts can also be added as pay-as-you-go capacity on Professional and Scale. The exact prompt allowances are listed in the full comparison table on Frase’s pricing page, so check that before you decide.

AI Visibility only monitors and alerts you. It never changes your content. Changing content is Content Guard’s job, and Content Guard asks for your approval by default.

Which Users Need Each Plan?

  • Pick Starter if you run one site, publish up to about two or three articles a week, and want the core workflow with basic AI tracking.
  • Pick Professional if you manage a few sites, publish weekly or more, work with a small team or want the content calendar and internal linking tools. For most serious bloggers and affiliate marketers, this is the sweet spot.
  • Pick Scale if you run client sites or many domains, need a large article volume, want all five AI engines tracked, or need exportable client reports.
  • Talk to Enterprise if you need white-label reports, a branded client portal, SSO or an SLA.

Is Frase Worth the Price?

It depends on how you work.

Frase is worth it if you publish regularly, because one subscription replaces several separate jobs: researching what to write, drafting, scoring, publishing, monitoring rankings and tracking AI mentions. If you currently pay for a separate research tool, a scoring tool and a tracker, the cost comparison looks much better.

It is harder to justify if you publish only a few times a year, or if what you really need is keyword research and backlink data, which are not Frase’s core strength. Our Frase vs Surfer SEO comparison and list of Frase alternatives can help you weigh other options.

One honest point: Frase says itself that rankings and AI citations build over the weeks after you publish, and that no tool can rank you inside a 7-day trial. Judge the trial on the workflow and the quality of the work, not on instant traffic.

Frase Free Trial

The Frase free trial lasts 7 days, and no credit card is required.

What you get: Professional’s full feature set, including the ability to let the AI agent publish on its own while you test it. You also get the content calendar, internal linking and AI Visibility on ChatGPT and Google AI.

The limits: Trial usage is capped at 5 articles, 50 audit pages, 25 AI prompts and up to 3 seats.

How to get the most from it:

  1. Connect your site and Google Search Console on day one.
  2. Run a site audit to see where your existing pages stand.
  3. Write one or two real articles you actually plan to publish.
  4. Test Frase Answers on your site.
  5. Decide which plan fits before the trial ends.

There is no permanent free plan. However, the Frase Answers widget and FraseCMS hosting have free tiers, and Frase offers free tools such as a GEO Score Checker and AI Visibility Checker that work without a subscription. For a hands-on walkthrough, see our guide on how to use Frase.
